Kashmir Stay is an online directory platform that lists verified hotels, resorts, houseboats, travel agencies, and tour operators in Kashmir. We help tourists find and connect with trusted businesses across Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and all of Jammu & Kashmir.
Is Kashmir Stay a hotel booking platform?
No. We are NOT a booking platform. We are a directory that provides business contact information. All bookings, payments, and reservations are made directly between you and the business.
Does Kashmir Stay charge tourists?
No. Kashmir Stay is completely free for tourists. We do not charge booking fees, service fees, or commissions. Our revenue comes from business listings, not from tourists.
How are businesses verified?
We verify that businesses are legally registered with the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department, hold valid licenses, and comply with local regulations. However, verification does not guarantee service quality — always read reviews and contact businesses before booking.
Booking & Payments
How do I book a hotel or tour?
Contact the business directly using the phone number, WhatsApp, email, or website link provided on their profile. All bookings are made directly with the business, not through Kashmir Stay.
Can I make payments through Kashmir Stay?
No. Kashmir Stay does not handle any payments. All payments are made directly to the business you're booking with.
What if a business asks for advance payment?
Many Kashmir businesses ask for advance payments to confirm bookings. Always get written confirmation (WhatsApp, email) with payment receipt, booking details, and cancellation policy before making any payment.
Can I get a refund through Kashmir Stay?
No. Kashmir Stay does not handle refunds. For cancellations and refunds, contact the business directly. Check their cancellation policy before booking.

What if I find incorrect information on a listing?
Report it to us at sreenchees@gmail.com with the business name and details. We'll investigate and update the listing.

How do I add my business to Kashmir Stay?
Visit MakeMe Top (our business portal) to create your profile. After verification, your business will appear on Kashmir Stay for tourists to find.
Is there a fee to list my business?
Basic listings are free. Premium listings with priority placement and additional features are available for a fee. Visit MakeMe Top for pricing.
How long does verification take?
Typically 2-3 business days after you submit all required documents.
Problems & Support
What if a business scams me?
Report it immediately to sreenchees@gmail.com with evidence (screenshots, receipts). We'll investigate and may remove the business from our platform. Also file a complaint with local tourism authorities and police.
What if a business doesn't respond?
Try contacting them via alternative methods (WhatsApp instead of phone, email instead of call). If they remain unresponsive, try another business from Kashmir Stay.
Can Kashmir Stay help resolve disputes?
No. Kashmir Stay is not involved in transactions between tourists and businesses. Disputes must be resolved directly with the business or through legal channels.
